What a sight it would be to witness an angel in our lifetime, don’t you think? Also known as the heralds of Heaven, these spiritual beings are, like everything else, of God’s creation and are made mention several times in the Bible as messengers of the Almighty. Aside from being every so resplendent, they are simple creatures without will, specifically tasked only to give praise to the Lord and do His every bidding without fail.

The song Angels, From the Realms of Glory is a Christmas song by James Montgomery, an English poet. It was first printed out at Sheffield Iris on 1816, exactly during Christmas Eve. The song has been given a variety of tunes and has been sung by a lot of different singers but the rendition of Henry Smart is the one most heard of.
May this song reminds us that although it is highly unlikely for us to have met an angel, it is important that we should emulate what we know is their common characteristic, to serve and praise God throughout their existence because at the end of the day, this is the quintessence of our being.
